John Carlton Castleberry, 62 of Cabool, MO was born on May 31, 1961 in Los Angeles, CA the youngest of eight children of Don and Anna (LaGrange) Castleberry.  He went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 3, 2023 at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, MO.

John had a zest for life; he was a "jack of all trades".  In his free time he loved swimming, boating, fishing, playing cards and dominos to name a few.  John's favorite hobby was playing his guitar and writing music.  He also loved to get together with family and friends and play music.

John was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents, Don and Anna and his siblings, Donovan "Donnie" Castleberry, Mike Hester and Penelope "Penny" Castleberry.  He is survived by his two children, Amanda of Missouri and Jeremiah of Texas; siblings, John Cobb, Bill Castleberry, Rick Castleberry and Ted Castleberry; several grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.  John's fiancé, Crista Davis, brought wonderful joy to his life.
