Joyce Elaine Emery was born September 3, 1944, near the Grogan Community in Texas County, Missouri to Jesse Newton and Ruth (Hall) Ray.  She was called home in Willow Springs, MO. on September 22, 2025, at the age of 81.

At an early age she attended Tyrone School through the eighth grade and graduated from Cabool High School in 1964. She was baptized at a young age at the Near Home Church in Texas County, MO.

Joyce was united in marriage to Lane Leroy Emery on August 8, 1969.   Joyce worked for many years at the Conway-Winters shoe factory in Willow Springs and later at Willow Care Nursing Home until her retirement.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.  She is survived by her son, Gary Emery; grandsons, Jesse (Maddyson) and Ethan Emery of Willow Springs; stepson, John (Martha) Emery of Cabool, MO; stepdaughter, Penny Wilson of Washington, MO; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Bonnie (David) Daniels of Lebanon, MO and a brother Keith Ray
