Obituary:

Joyce Grose, 74 of Forsyth, MO and formerly of Cabool, MO passed away on December 19, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO following complications of a blood disorder.

Joyce was born on January 30, 1946 in Cortez, CO the daughter of Arthur and Lela McLain. She and her 4 siblings moved to Cabool in 1947. She attended Oak Grove School and graduated from Cabool High School in 1964.

On May 1, 1965 she married Gary Grose and to this union two children were born, Lonnie and Teresa. They lived in Cabool where Joyce worked for Cabool Schools as a cook. She and Gary moved to Forsyth, MO in 2001 to be close to her father in law. Joyce and Gary loved fishing together and spent a lot of time enjoying God's creation from the view of a river bank or boat. She had a fervent love for Jesus Christ and was an active member of her church in Forsyth. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, neighbor, and friend who enjoyed making crafts, quilting, embroidery, and cooking. She always looked out for others and did everything she could to help those that she encountered.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and a sister. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gary Grose; son, Lonnie Grose; daughter, Teresa (Grose) Krambeck; sister, Ruth Gamel; 8 grandchildren and their spouses and 9 great grandchildren.
