Julie Ann Aldridge, 47 of Tyrone, MO passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at her home. She was born on August 17, 1967 in Hastings, Michigan the daughter of Frank and Patricia (Parker) Cruttenden.
Julie attended Battle Creek Academy for 12 years and graduated from high school in 1986. She then obtained an Associated Degree in Horticulture from Andrews University. She did not find satisfactory work in that field and went back to school to earn another Associates Degree this time from Kellogg Community College where she trained to be a Registered Nurse.
Julie loved to be outdoors at our small family farm growing up. Mom would often keep her in the house to help with kitchen work because there were plenty of boys to help Dad with the barn chores but Julie really wanted to be out there as well. Julie loved the animals but she also really enjoyed to work in the gardens, especially the flowers. Her youngest sibling was due to be born and she was sure it would be a sister. She was so sure that she said if it was another boy she would fall down. We were all at the Curtis's home while mom and dad were at the hospital for the delivery and when dad called to say it was a boy, Julie indeed fell to the floor.
Julie moved to Missouri to work with Dr. Coffee in Willow Springs, MO. She then met Garold Dee Aldridge and they were married in Delton, Michigan under the shade trees of her childhood church on Sept. 11, 1994 and they made their home in Tyrone, MO. She continued to work for Dr. Coffee and a short time after his retirement, then she went to work for Home Health in Houston, MO. She stayed for about a year and then spent a year working at the Mtn. View Hospital before returning to Home Health in Houston where she was employed at the time of her passing.
Julie was preceded in death by a nephew, Aaron Cruttenden. She is survived by her daughter, Mica Aldridge of Tyrone, MO; her step-son, Trenton Aldridge of Branson, MO; parents, Frank and Patricia Cruttenden of Delton, MI; brothers, Larry Cruttenden and wife, Marian of Lowell, MI, Steven Cruttenden and Annett Roth of Lake Odessa, MI, Russell Cruttenden and wife, Dana of Plainwell, MI and William Cruttenden and wife, Elizabeth of Charleston, TN; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
