Obituary:

Leona Viola Roberts, 92 of Elk Creek, MO departed this world on January 29, 2021 at the Autumn Oaks Care Center in Mountain Grove, MO. She was born on January 13, 1929 in Mountain Grove, the daughter of Sylvanus and Viola (Batdorf) Nettleton.

Leona was united in marriage to Edwin Roberts on November 4, 1950 and to this union 4 children were born, Viola, Jennie, Alice and Randy.

Leona was a home maker on the family farm and had a passion for growing flowers and elephant ears. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Leona was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years; her parents, her brother, Wayne Nettleton; sister, Sarah Nettleton; son, Randy Roberts; twin grandsons, Edwin and Dennis Means and great grandson, Jay Greenwood. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Viola Crisp of Lebanon, MO, Jennie Means of Mountain Grove, MO and Alice Bauer of Cabool, MO; two sisters, Ruby Hale of Petaluma, CA and Lelia McCalley of Plainview, TX; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
