Obituary:

Les Tucker, 95 of Republic, MO passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. He was born on November 30, 1917 in Bunker, MO the son of the late Verde and Cora (Wells) Tucker.

Les retired from the City of Cabool where he was the police chief for many years. He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the Am Vets Post 172.

Les was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Lucille Tucker; two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by five daughters, Pat Rodgers and husband, Jack, Beverly Tointigh, Pam Tucker, Wendy Billington and husband, John Ray and Leslie Banning and husband, Oscar; 11 grandchildren, Lisa Campbell, Stacy Kellett, Joseph Tointigh, Lindi Walters, Amy Handley, Joshua Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Zebadiah Long, Chelsy Fetters, Shane James, Shawn James and many great and great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
