IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lillie Kaye
Bailey
April 13, 1948 – May 4, 2017
Lillie Kaye Bailey, 69 of Cabool, MO passed away on May 4, 2017 at her home. She was born on April 13, 1948 in Elk Creek, MO the daughter and only child of Carlene Bailey Spencer.
Kaye spent the majority of her life in Flint, Michigan with her mother, Carlene and step father, Reuben Spencer. After Reuben's death, Carlene and Kaye moved to Hermitage, MO until Carlene's passing and she spent some time with her Aunt Evelyn.
The last few years of her life, Kaye spent in Cabool with her Aunt Vida and then in Pine View Heights 3 rd floor under the loving and ever watchful eye of her cousin, Kathy Harvey. While at first it was a bit of an adjustment for her, she really enjoyed living there, she made no bones about it; that was home and she wanted to stay there and made several new friends.
Kaye liked doing crafts, scrapbooking and watching scary movies. She enjoyed being outdoors and going for rides in the country; she especially enjoyed her trips with Kathy and Susie to the Dollar Store and Wal Mart. Kaye had a fondness for animals and especially her cats. She took extra good care of them and got caught a time or two by Kathy spoiling her last cat, Miss Kitty with her own food.
One special quality about Kaye was that she rarely ever complained about her own needs, even when she was sick you would ask her, are you feeling ok? And the answer was almost always, Oh, I'm fine. She never drew attention to herself.
