Obituary:

Lily Louise (Sullivan) Cook was born on Easter Sunday morning, March 31, 1929 to Orvill and Zella (Walls) Sullivan. She passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the age of 89.

Lily married Uhlan (Bud) Cook on June 2, 1947; to their union seven children were born. They were married for 19 years before his passing.

At a young age Lily was saved at Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church and became a member. After moving to East St. Louis with her family she changed her membership to Forest Chapel Baptist Church. When the family returned to Cabool she joined the Pea Ridge Baptist Church, she loved spending time with her Christian family.

Lily worked in the café at the live stock auction in Cabool and Licking for several years, as a sales rep for B & A Furniture for a few years, she worked at the Cabool Laundry for a while before finally working at Walls Woodpro for five years until retiring. Lily then volunteered at the SOS in Cabool for the next 15 years.

She enjoyed being outside; as a teenager she milked cows on the family farm. She enjoyed mowing her yard and tending her garden, but most important was time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Lily was preceded in death by her husband, Uhlan (Bud) Cook; her parents, Orvill and Zella Sullivan; two daughters, Alice Manning and Mary Woods; two sons, John Cook and James (Jim) Cook; two son-in-laws, Roy Manning, Jr. and Lester Cantrell; one great grandson, Cade Cook; one brother, Floyd Sullivan and one sister-in-law, Gynetha Sullivan.   She is survived by two daughter, Linda Cantrell and Kathrine Cook both of Mtn. Grove, MO; one son, Richard Cook and wife, Karen of Jefferson City, MO; one son-in-law, Carol Woods of Gassville, AR; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Orvill Sullivan, Jr of Cabool, MO; one sister, Betty Taylor and husband, George of Branson, MO; one sister-in-law, Leila Carder of Houston, MO; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
