Louie Lee Maxvill was born on September 17, 1943 in Plato, Missouri the son of the late Lester and Helen (Robertson) Maxvill. He departed this life on December 25, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was 69 years 3 months and 9 days old.
Louie grew up in Texas County and graduated Cabool High School in 1961. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1966and was honorably discharged in 1968. He was united in marriage to Vivian Doris Means on December 28, 1966 in Cabool, Missouri. Two children were born to this union. He lost the love of his life when Mrs. Maxvill passed away on July 26, 1991.
Louie worked as a carpenter's laborer until the late 1970s. In 1978 he began his career with Hutchens Industries the Foundry Division, and was employed there until he retired in 2006.
Louie enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He had a passion for Bluegrass Music. You could find Louie sitting in his lawn chair at various Bluegrass festivals around the area.
Louie was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be missed by those who loved him and knew him.
Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Lynn Maxvill; and by an infant sister, Lyla Jean.
He is survived by a son, Michael Maxvill and his wife, Shannon of Cabool; one brother, Merlin Maxvill and his wife, Ann of Mtn. Grove; one sister, Linda Tarpley and her husband, Rennie of Conway, Arkansas; two grandsons, Curtis Maxvill of Gainesville, Florida and Aaron Maxvill of Cabool; two granddaughters, Tiffany Kidwell and her husband, Kyle of Cabool and Megan Ratterree and her husband, Chris of Mtn. Grove; three great-grandsons, many nieces and nephews, a very special friend, Joanne Sanders of Macomb, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends.
