Obituary:

Marilynn Francis Tickner, 65, of Cabool, Mo passed from this life to be with our Lord on July 18, 2010. She was born on March 8, 1945 in Detroit Michigan the daughter of Virgil and Mary Siegrist.

Marilynn loved to work in her yard and actively worked in Kirkwood Presbyterian Churches Sunday School classes and child care. She was always busy and very creative, she loved to sew, marking quilts or clothes and almost anything else she set her mind to create until her accident left her seriously handicapped at which time she moved to Cabool and made Kabul Nursing Home her home.

Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Norman Siegrist. Marilynn is survived by her son, John Tickner and his wife Michelle of Pacific, Mo; daughter, Mary Hoots and her husband Jody; granddaughters Olivia Tickner and Audrey Hoots and grandson Zachariah Hoots.

Marilynn was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be missed but we know that she is in a much better place and that we will see her again.

Graveside services will be held at Mt Ararat Cemetery Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Paul Pritchard officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool, MO. Online condolences may be made at www.egcfuneralhome.com.
