Mary Louise Woods, 63 passed into Heaven February 22, 2017 in Flippin, Arkansas surrounded by her family. She was born the fifth child of Uhlan and Lily (Sullivan) Cook on October 27th, 1953 in Peoria IL. She was a graduate of Cabool High School Class of 1971.
Mary was united in marriage to Carol Woods on July 17th, 1971 at Oak Grove Baptist Church near Simmons, MO and to this union Two children were born; Uhlan Esel ( Buddy) on July 6th, 1973. Melissa Carol on September 2nd, 1975.
Most of her adult life was spent in Cotter, Arkansas area. She was a stay at home mom when her children were small; then she worked as a convenience store manager and a substitute teacher in the Cotter School System. She was a great cook and loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to talk and was very free with her opinions.
Mary was preceded in death by her father Uhlan; a sister, Alice; a brother, John; a grandson and her in laws, Esel and Evelena Woods. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Carol of 46 years; her son, Buddy Woods and wife, Christina of Gassville, Arkansas; her daughter, Melissa Lemons and husband, Braden of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren; one great grandchild; her mother, Lily Cook of Cabool; sisters, Linda Cantrell and Kathy Cook of Mountain Grove; brothers, James Cook and wife, Sena of Waynesville and Richard Cook and wife, Karen of Jefferson City; as well as a host of family and friends.
