Obituary:

Mary Josephine Lowery, 92 of Cabool, MO departed this life on April 2, 2018 at the Autumn Oaks Care Center in Mtn. Grove, MO. She was born on May 9, 1925 in Richland, MO the daughter of the late Walter and Clara (Kanzig) Young.

Mary lived in Richland for 13 years and later moved to Lebanon, MO. She married and had three children; in May of 1960, the family moved to Cabool, MO. Herman and Mary operated the Tod's Café for three and a half years and then bought Fredrick's Café on Hwy 60 two miles west of Cabool where they operated Lowery's Dinner House from 1963 to 1983. They retired in 1983 due to Herman's health.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman in 1993; a daughter, Deborah Brown in 2004; sisters, Mae Ruble, Frances Makuilima, Vierlyn Brown and Jean McDaniel and one brother, Willis Young. She is survived by her son, Butch and Janice Carroll and her daughter, Ann and Merlin Maxvill all of Mtn. Grove, MO; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter, Julianna Ryun; loving brother, David Young of Warsaw, MO; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
