Obituary:

Mr. Merle Ray Bittick, 65 of Sherman, TX passed away on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 at the Texoma Medical Center. He was born on August 1, 1945 in Cabool, MO the son of Simual and Mary (Loomis) Bittick.

Merle graduated from Cabool High School and served in the US Navy. He was united in marriage to Violet Wake on May 20, 1966 in Howell County, MO. He was currently employed by Fisher-Emerson in the janitorial department.

Merle was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Violet on Oct. 17, 1998; two brothers, Audie Bittick and Wayne Bittick; and three sisters, Doris Bittick, Dorothy Bittick and Verla Smith. He is survived by his sons, Sim Bittick and wife, Tammy of Denison, TX and Michael Bittick and wife, Wynonah of Sherman, TX; his daughter, Angela Zuniga and husband, Juan of Sherman, TX; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his brother, Alvin Bittick and wife, Betty of Pomona, MO; his sister, Versel Rogers and husband, Charles of Mtn. Grove, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
