Edna Nadine (Johnson) Rust, 81
Nadine Rust of Cabool, MO was born on September 22, 1930 in Solo, Missouri to Russell and Mary Johnson and passed away March 22, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Nadine was united in marriage to Kenneth Lee Rust on October 8, 1949. Together they had three wonderful children, David, Debbie and Russelle Kay.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Mary Johnson; her husband Kenneth Rust; two brothers, Marvin and Jim Johnson; three sisters, Dorothy Cape, Velma Adams, and Frances Miller; her son David Rust, and her two daughters, Debbie Ott and Russelle Rust.
Nadine is survived by two brothers, Gene Johnson and wife Delores of Collinsville, IL, Doc Johnson and wife Phyllis of Mountain Grove, MO; one sister, Ruby Rice and husband Bud of Lebanon, MO; a son in law Randy Ott of Cabool, MO; six grandchildren, Conrad Ott and wife Kathy of Webb City, MO, Leslie and husband Nathan Houk of Seymour, MO, Dana and husband Eric Wilson of Raymondville, MO, Caleb Rust of Nixa, MO, Josh Rust and wife Sherri of Lake Stevens, WA and Erica and husband Jordan Rosenbaum of Springfield, MO; Nine great grandchildren, Jonathan Alamo; Alex, Dylan and Harmony Rust; Ethan, Jacob and Lucas Ott; Drake Rosenbaum and Matthew Wilson; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Nadine grew up in Elk Creek and graduated from Cabool High School in 1949. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church for many years and she enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She loved gardening, reading and watching football. She also enjoyed square dancing for many years. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
