Obituary:

Norma Lee Mollohan, 75 of Mtn. Grove, MO departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 in her home. She was born on May 27, 1935 in Ottawa, KS the daughter of Lee and Hazel (Grewell) Hartsock.

Norma lived in Ottawa, KS until the age of 3 ½ when her family migrated to California, working in the potato and cotton fields along the way to earn a living. Her family settled in the Monterey Bay area where she was raised. Her parents worked in the fish canaries on the Monterey wharf. At an early are she took a liking to roller skating and performed in many events and pageants earning her the California State Championship Title in her early teen years.

On February 11, 1951 she married the love of her life and her very best friend, Kenneth Mollohan. They were able to spend a wonderful life together for 46 years. They lived in the Monterey Bay area settling in the Castroville, CA area until they retired and moved to Mtn. Grove in October of 1995.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, grammy, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her family very much and loved family gatherings. She enjoyed going to the great grandchildren's sporting events and she enjoyed going to her granddaughter's workshop events. Her most favorite pastime was playing Bingo. She made many great friends and acquaintances while playing.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth on August 3, 1997. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Harvison and husband, Aaron of Mtn. Grove; her son, David Mollohan and wife, Sheryl of Mtn. Grove; 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Tucker and husband, Darrel of Carney, OK; a brother, Don Hartsock and wife, Maryetta of Salinas, CA; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Anderson and husband, Robert of Akron, OH; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; as well as a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services were at 2pm, Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Mtn. Grove, MO with the Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons, Kenny Spanton, Michael Mollohan and Jody Spanton and nephews, Ricky Evans, Dennis Evans and Danny Evans.
