Opal Inez (Cluck) Malberg, 91, went home to be with her Lord on August 31, 2016 at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born in Drumright, OK on October 20, 1924 the daughter of James and Edna Cluck.

Inez was a lifelong resident of Cabool since childhood and graduated from Cabool High School in 1943. She married Melvin Max Stark on June 6, 1943 and they were blessed with three sons, Robert Max, Jimmie Kim and Joe Edward and one daughter, Sari Ann.  Melvin passed away in October 1989.

Nez worked at the high school cafeteria for many years and considered many of the school children her own. She was actively involved in church and community, but her family was the most important thing in her life.  Nez was one of the "The Sexy Six"; a group of lifelong friends from high school who remained close throughout their lives, they had many adventurous times together over the years.  She loved traveling and going to new places.

Inez married Noling Malberg in October 1998 at Cabool and together they have resided on the Malberg Century Farm where they have enjoyed family, farming and many activities.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edna (McMaster) Cluck; a sister, Alice Gatewood; and her husband, Melvin Stark. She is survived by her husband, Noling Malberg; son, Max and wife, Carol of Carthage, son, Jim and wife, Evelyn of Springfield, daughter, Sari of Cabool and son, Joe and wife, Pam of Memphis; stepson, Mike and wife, Beverly of Cabool; stepdaughter, Libby and husband, Larry of Wentzville; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Nez has been a gentle, loving lady who has left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
