Peggy Louise Mitchem Moss, 70, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away March 7,
2018 at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri from complications of MS.

Peggy was born in Cabool, Missouri August 25, 1947 to Sherman and Marie
Mitchem. Peggy grew up in Cabool where she attended and was a member of the
First United Methodist Church of Cabool. She graduated from Cabool High School
with the Class of 1965. Throughout high school she was a cheerleader, played in
the band and was Prom Queen. After high school she moved to Springfield and
attended college at SMS.

On September 16, 1967 she married Dan Moss of Willow Springs. They moved to
Texas as Dan was in the military. Shortly after moving, Dan went to Vietnam and
Peggy moved back to Cabool to live with her parents.

In 1968 Peggy was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Dan and Peggy then moved to
St. Louis where they made their home for over 40 years. About 5 years ago they
moved to Springfield to be closer to family.

Throughout Peggy's life she had many battles with her MS. She never once
complained or expressed pity. She had a very caring personality and never said a
harsh word about anyone. She adored Dan and was very grateful for his wonderful
care he gave her throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents. Peggy is survived by
her husband, Dan of the home; brother, Steve and Patti Mitchem of Springfield;
brother, Jeff and Becky of Ozark; sister, Janet and Brad Roberts of Cabool; mother-in-law, Marge Moss of Willow Springs as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings
like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah
40:31
