At a very young age she and her beloved sister, Frances "Tootie" came to the Cabool/Elk Creek area to live with their grandparents, Peter Paul and Frances Destemonia (Carland) Grothe, who raised them.  She attended grade school in Elk Creek and high school in Cabool.  She accepted Christ our Lord as a child in Elk Creek and continued on all through life.  She followed in the footsteps of "Granny Frances" and started to work at a young age in the café of Ruby and Walter Kitchen "Kitchen's Café", she worked for Willard Dee at Dee's Truck Stop.  She then found her home at El-Rancho Truck Stop that lasted over 30 years where she worked until 2008 due to her health.  She worked for different owners over the years but Denver and Betty Rees was her fondest memories.

Rachel enjoyed people and helping people in any way she could.  She loved her jobs because of the people.  She treated them, her neighbors and friends just as she did family.

Rachel was preceded in death  her grandparents, Peter and Frances Grothe; her uncle, Charlie Grothe; birth parents, Louis Dedrick and Fanny Lillian Korrok and her stepfather, Richard Korrok; half-brother, Robert Korrok and cousin, Art Huffman that she always call "Uncle Art".  She is survived by her children, Billy Paul Joslin of Willow Springs, MO, Marvin M. Joslin and wife, Amie of Cabool, MO, Marie M. Womack and husband, Keith of Willow Springs, MO; grandsons, Anthony, Paden and Dylan; sister, Frances "Tootie" Bradley of Mtn.
