Obituary:

Mr. Ralph A. Litzsinger, 89 passed away on Sunday, March 4 at the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. He was born on July 29, 1922 in St. Louis, MO the son of Erwin and Elizabeth (Haukap) Litzsinger.

Upon graduation, he entered into the US Marine Corps, serving 3 ½ years. Ralph later attended Southeast Missouri where he received Bachelor degrees in Biology and Education. He continued his education at Washington University where he graduated with a Masters degree in Education and at the University of Missouri with a Masters in the Teaching of Biology. He spent the last 29 years of his career teaching Biology in the Webster Groves School District.

Ralph's hobbies included a love of nature, hunting, fishing, traveling, singing, woodworking and other finely detailed work with his hands.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Martha E. Litzsinger. He is survived by his wife, Gail LItzsinger of the home; his children, Ralph Litzsinger, Jr and wife, Liana, Susan Schoeninger and husband, Terry, Sally Rubin and husband, Alan, Deana Bass, Irma Bell and husband, Leon, Chester Lee Bass and wife, Verna and Joe Bass and wife, Patti; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
