Obituary:

Ray Chronister was born on April 18, 1940 to Virgil and Bessie Chronister in Rector Arkansas. He went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2010 at his home in Cabool, Missouri, after a short battle with small cell carcinoma cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Bessie, five sisters, Dorothy, Evelyn, Garhnetta, Daisy, and Linda; one brother Gerald Dean. He is survived by his loving wife Chris Chronister of the home, his children, Tammy Lester, of Ironton, Gerald Chronister and wife Sheri of Cabool, James Chronister and wife Janice of Mountain Grove, Tina Osborn and husband Michael, of Cabool, Teresa Kusmaul of West Plains and John Young of Bellows Falls, Vt; his grandchildren, Jamie Lester, Tiffany Chronister, Andrew Chronister, Makenzie Chronister, Jared Chronister, Ashley Wood, Todd Wood, Jessica Collins and husband Joe, Dalton Young, Nina Young, Alexandria Young; 5 great grandchildren; his brothers, Cecil Chronister of Ironton, MO and James Chronister of Rector, AR; his sisters, Dora Bass of Paragould, AR and Brenda Clayton of Cabool, MO.

After graduating high school Ray joined the Army and was stationed in Korea. He then returned and lived in several places until the 1970's when he made Cabool his home. Where he owned and operated several service stations. He then became an over the road truck driver. Later owned and operated his own trucking company Chronister and sons trucking for over 30 years.

In 2005 he married Chris Fournier which made his last years of life full of love, laughs and memories. On April 18 th 2010 Ray celebrated his 70 th birthday with family and a host of wonderful friends. Which he loved dearly.

Ray was saved and baptized and became an active member of Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church.

Ray is with Jesus now and will be missed but not forgotten by his family and friends.
