Obituary:

Richard "Gene" Hobbs, 82 of Cabool, MO passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at his home. He was born on November 17, 1937 in Kingsville, MO the son of Edward Faye and Cecil Marie (Ball) Hobbs.

Gene was a devoted Christian, active member, elder and director of the adventist community services at Willow Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Gene is survived by his wife, Verlene of the home; 3 daughters, Cynthia Vinsonhaler of Wilbur, NE, Sherri Smith and husband, Edward of Peoria, AZ and Kathy Yates and husband, Timothy of Boonsboro, MD; 8 grandchildren, Marcus, Matthew, Shantel, Derrick, Bryson, Tiffany, Lacey and Dustin; 8 great grandchildren and one loving cat, Sam who always went running to Gene.
