Obituary:

Richard D. Lucky, son of Ilene Thelma (Countryman) Lucky and grandson of Sylvia Showalter Countryman, was born April 4, 1939, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He passed away May 6, 2011, at his home in Summersville, Missouri.

He moved to Cabool, Missouri, at an early age, and then to Florida during the war while his father served in the United States Navy. They moved back to Cabool and then to Oregon and California before returning to Cabool in 1975.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy and the Coast Guard. For many years he owned and operated Lucky's Used Building Materials on Highway 63 north of Cabool.

He was preceded in death by many family members and friends. Missed the most were his daughter, Tina Marie Frazee of Nixa, and his younger brother, Jack Allen Lucky of Norco, California.

Survivors include his loving wife, Annie Rovelstad Lucky of the home; a daughter, Vicki Lucky-Powell of Cabool; and a sister, Kathy Bidwell of California.
