Obituary:

Robby Gail Hanson 76 of Mountain Grove, MO passed away February 4, 2015 at Cox South in Springfield, MO after a brief illness.

He was born on July 15, 1938 near Upton, MO, the son of Jessie and Addie (Campbell) Hanson.  Around the age of 12 he was saved at First Baptist Church Cabool.  He attended Cabool High School until the 11 th grade at which time he decided to join the United States Air Force.  He served his country until February 28, 1963.  Robby then went to work at Ford Motor Co. in Hazelwood, MO until he retired in 1995.  He was always a Ford man and if you pulled into the driveway in something other than a Ford you would definitely have some explaining to do.

On April 16, 1976 he was united in marriage to Rosie Lee Eaton.  Robby & Rosie enjoyed their days together.  Whether it was observing wildlife out their window, playing bingo or watching a NASCAR race on TV; they cherished their time together.

Robby's favorite song was "Thank God I'm a Country Boy".  He loved to deer hunt and especially loved when his boys, grandsons and friends came out to hunt with him.  Robby was a huge sports fan.  If you visited Robby he was likely to be watching sports on TV or listening by radio, especially Cardinal Baseball.  He loved high school sports especially Bulldog football.  Robby had a way of remembering scores, big plays and statistics that could amaze his family and friends.  Another passion was his grandchildren and other young people in his life.  They could always count on him to tease and joke around.  If he kidded with you, you knew he loved you.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Johnnie Hanson, Wisconsin, Rosa Lee Barlow, Harvester; Norma Lee Simon and Lonnie Hanson, both of Houston.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie Lee Hanson of the home; sons, Austin Hanson, West Plains, Russell and wife Margaret Hanson, St Charles; Jesse and wife Shawanna Hanson, Seymour; daughters, Julie and husband Lloyd Edwards, Mississippi; Tammy and husband Rip Stringer, Texas; Tina and husband Kent Rust, Cabool.  Brothers, Kenneth and wife Loretta Hanson, Wisconsin; Jimmy and wife Donna Hanson, Troy; and sister Dora Bea and husband Doug Stalder, Houston.  Sixteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends.  He will be greatly missed by all.
