Obituary:

Robert Dwight Colborn, 63 of Cabool, MO passed away on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019 at his home after suffering a stroke on July 30, 2019.  He was born on November 17, 1955 in Sargent, MO the seventh of ten children of the late Frank and Effie (Steely) Colborn.

Dwight attended and graduated from Cabool High School with the class of 1973.  He was a hard worker, through the years he had drove a semi-truck, worked at El Rancho, Brown Shoe Factory and finally milking cows on the family farm.

Dwight was married to Cindy (Harns) Colborn and two children was born to this union, Mary Ann and Joseph who was stillborn at birth.  He was later married to Victoria (Hays) Colborn and to this union a son, Christoper was born.

He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, gardening and working on the farm.  He especially liked to rub it in when he caught the biggest and most fish.  He also enjoyed having cookouts, spending time with family and friends.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joseph; two brothers, Merlin and Dwayne; two sisters-in-law, Norma Jean and Elaine and two brothers-in-law, Carl Owens and Sophus Hicks.  He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Preece; his son, Christopher and wife, Erin; granddaughter, Jasmine Rickerson; two grandsons, Christopher, Jr and Alexander; two sisters, Glenda Owens and Rita Hicks; five brothers, Merle and Edith, Richard, David and Beverly, Darrell and Denver; as well as several nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends.  He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him
