Robert Harold Crayon was born in Queens, New York on July 6, 1935. He was the eldest of three children of Simon and Anne (Stubenhaus) Crayon. He passed away at his home in Cabool, Missouri at the age of 77 on Wednesday, November 21, 2012.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Patricia (Collins) and by his sister Elaine Casaula.

He is survived by his wife LaVerne (DePaul), his brother Daniel and his nine children with Patricia: Eileen Vesseliza and her husband Gerard of Ranshaw, PA, Michael Crayon of Hollywood, FL, John Crayon and his wife Virginia of Orange Park, FL, Timothy Crayon of Leavenworth, KS, Elizabeth Hillier and her husband Whitman of Stanhope, NJ, Joseph Crayon and his wife Theresa of Kansas City, MO, Denis Crayon of Hackettstown, NJ, William Crayon and his wife Paula of Melville, NY, Matthew Crayon and his wife MyDung Thi of Nixa, MO; seven step children; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Bob spent his career in public service. He was a retired New York City Police Lieutenant and served in both the Army and Navy reserves. He was active with his local church community with the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mountain Grove, Missouri.

After his retirement from the New York City Police Department in 1983, the family relocated to Norwood, MO, and in 1998 moved to his home in Cabool.
