Robert (Bob) M. Benson was born on February 27, 1927 in Los Angeles, CA to Percy G. and Lucille Carpenter Benson. He was 90 years old when he moved to his heavenly home on September 3, 2017. He had one older sister, Dorothy Boggs.

Bob married Patsy Covington on February 6, 1948 and during their 52 years of marriage they raised three children, Barbara, Carol and Michael. Bob joined the military at a young age and spent 28 years in service to his country. When he retired from the Air Force, Bob moved to Huggins, MO and worked a number of jobs building and working on farms.

Bob enjoyed flying his own plane, gardening, raising animals and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

After the passing of Bob's first wife Patsy in 2000, Bob remarried Kathryn Michael on October 12, 2002. They enjoyed many years together traveling, gardening and spending time with their church family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Patsy and his daughter Carol.  He is survived by his loving wife Kathy of the home; his daughter, Barbara & Ed Ballinger of Norton, KS; his son, Michael & Karen Benson of Mountain Grove, MO; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
