Obituary:

Robert "Bob" Sharper Shotwell, 87 of Cabool, MO passed away on June 24, 2021 at the Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, MO. He was born on July 30, 1933 in New Village, NJ the son of Judeson and Kathryn (Sharper) Shotwell.

Bob proudly served his country as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne, Fort Bragg, North Carolina until receiving his honorable discharge. He then worked for Hoffman La-Roche in Belvedere, NJ as a heating and air conditioning technician until retirement. Soon after retirement he moved to Cabool to be closer to his brother, Norman and family.

Bob enjoyed hunting, especially turkey. He also enjoyed photography and won ribbons with his nature pictures. He was a man of faith; he was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Willow Springs and prior to that served at the First Presbyterian Church in Washington, NJ.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Judeson and Kathryn Shotwell; his brothers, Irvin, Norman and Carl and his sister, Geraldine. He is survived by his brother, Tommy; his children, Lori and husband, John, Robert, Stephanie and husband, Roger and Rebecca; grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan, Roger Jr and Brooke; one great grandchild; grand niece, Kammi Jenkins of MO; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. His family is grateful for his New Jersey and Missouri friends and the staff of Willow Care who cared for Robert and stayed with him during his battle with Parkinson's.
