Roger Lynn Hale, age 68, of Cabool, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at his home in Cabool. He was known as Lynn to his family and friends. He was born on Oct. 2, 1950 in Cabool the fourth child of the late Virgil and Vesta (Steely) Hale.
He attended and graduated from Cabool High School in 1968. Lynn was a veteran and served the United States Army from June 1970 until January 1972. He was stationed in Germany until he received an honorable discharge. Lynn worked for the riverboat industry and various factories before he was hired by the Chrysler Corporation, where he retired from the Fenton, Mo plant on June 30, 2002.
He was a good mechanic with exceptional mechanical skills. His late uncle told people that "If Lynn can't fix it, it can't be fixed". He also enjoyed gardening, playing cards, going to auctions and visiting the occasional casino.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Joe Hale and a sister-in-law, Mary Hale. Lynn is survived by two daughters, Starr Nelson and Sarah Haynam; five grandchildren, Kathryn, Kimberly and Jerald Todd and Elise and Maia Hayman; three brothers, Vernon Hale, Larry Hale and Jerry Hale; two sisters, Vivian Spurgeon and husband, Ronald and Jane Egidy and husband, Larry; as well as several nieces and nephews. Lynn will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
