Obituary:
Roger Ellis Sears, 43 of Cabool, MO passed away on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 at the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. He was born on Sept. 6, 1967 in Mansfield, MO the son of Jim and Helen (Strong) Sears.
Roger grew up in Cabool and graduated from Cabool High School in 1986. After graduation he moved to Kansas City until joining the US Army in 1988. He returned to Cabool after receiving his discharge and went to work for Arkansas Power and Electric. Roger enjoyed any manual labor, a hard days work always made him feel good.
Roger was united in marriage to Chanda French on July 7, 2007. He was a real jokester, always pickin and poking at family and friends. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and riding his motorcycle. He could often be found at Wal-Mart, he loved it there, even if he didn't buy anything.
Roger was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bernie Strong; grandparents, Cecil and Veta Sears; his uncle, Mike Strong and his aunt, Sandy Wake. He is survived by his wife, Chanda of the home; his daughter, Ashley Sears and fiancé, Chastin McLain of Cabool, MO; his son, Austin Sears of the home; stepson, Skylar McKee of the home; his parents, Jim and Helen Sears of Cabool, MO; his grandmother, Edna Strong of Cabool, MO; brother, Brad Sears and wife, Becca of Cabool, MO; grandchildren, Aceton and Addilyn; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
