Ronald G. "Ron" Stillwell, 70 of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. He was born on January 17, 1945 in Mtn. Grove, MO the son of Gene and Irma (Medlock) Stillwell.

Ron graduated from Mtn. Grove High School with the Class of 1963; he then attended and graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield. He was well known for owning and operating the Farmers Insurance Agency and Stillwell Real Estate for many years. He was also a proud veteran, serving in the National Guard in the late 60's and early 70's.

Ron was united in marriage to Linda Walters on November 11, 1972 and to this union two children were born, Ronald Jr. in 1973 and Amy Michelle in 1978. He was always supportive to his community and family, especially his children and their friends; he was usually one of the first to speak up and ask what was needed and even if he didn't personally do it he saw to it being done. He was a people person, both professionally and personally.

Ron had many friends; he could often be found at various coffee shops in the area visiting with any and all, he never met a stranger. He particularly enjoyed his fellow amateur radio operators of the Ozark Mountain Amateur Radio Club.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 42 ½ years, Linda of the home; his son Ronald and wife, Sarah and grandson, Christian of Mtn. Grove and his daughter, Amy Vermillion and husband, Rick of Colorado. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
