Obituary:

Ruby Alexander Russell, 96, passed peacefully from this life to the next on April 9, 2021 at the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, MO. She was born on July 12, 1924 in Cabool, MO to Charles and Ethel (Barnett) Alexander. She attended Cabool Schools and graduated with the Class of 1942.

Ruby was married to Leland "Doyle" Rust on Oct. 31, 1942 and to this union three children were born; daughter, Virginia "Jenny" and two sons, Norman and Mark.

Ruby worked for many years as a pharmacy technician at the Cabool Pharmacy and Murr Drug in Cabool.

Galatians 5:22 says the fruits of the Spirit include Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness and faithfulness. Ruby was blessed with the fruits of the Spirit and dedicated her life to the Lord as a young girl. She was a member of the Cabool First Baptist Church and attended services there faithfully while she lived in Cabool. She loved sharing the word of God and anyone who met her was sure to be asked if they knew the Lord Jesus Christ and was certain to hear about her personal relationship with Him.

Ruby was married to Clyde "Jim" Russell of Springfield, MO on July 8, 1977. Following their marriage they lived in Springfield where Ruby worked at Cotter's Pharmacy until her retirement. Ruby and Jim shared a love of traveling and spent many happy years doing just that.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Leonard, Delbert and Noble; her husband, Jim; her daughter, Jenny; her son, Norman and great granddaughter, Kodi. She is survived by her son, Mark Rust and wife, Angela; sister, Gertrude Ward and husband, Leon; 3 grandchildren, Robbie Eisenhour, Tammie Sears and John Rust; 8 great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The Bible tells us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Ruby's family and friends take great comfort in this and know with certainty that she is forever safe in the arms of Jesus.
