Ruth Lorene Caldwell, 92 of Cabool, MO passed away on October 1, 2014 at the Kabul Nursing Home. She was born on October 28, 1921 near Vanzant, MO the daughter of Grady and Rettie (Reed) Wood.
Ruth grew up in the Vanzant community and was united in marriage to Norman J. Reece in 1942; to this union two children were born, David and Deanna. Ruth worked at the Brown Shoe Factory for a number of years and enjoyed the many friendships that she had there. Norman passed away on Oct. 3, 1982 and she was then married to Noble Caldwell in 1985.
Ruth loved her family and friends dearly and was happiest when she was with them. She was a member of the Maness Memorial Baptist Church where she enjoyed spending time in worship and with her church family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Rettie Wood; her husbands, Norman J. Reece and Noble Caldwell; her daughter, Deanna Evans and three brothers, Ray, Marion and Kenneth Wood. She is survived by her son, David Reece and wife, Xuantien "Angel" of Cabool, MO; three grandchildren, Angie Totten, David Lee Reece and Lakaya Reece; five great grandchildren, MacKenzie & Marshall Totten, Megan, Chastity & Hunter Deanna Reece and a sister-in-law, Louise Wood.
