Obituary

Sharon Diane “Grandma” Fisher peacefully entered rest at the age of 81 years. Born May 31st 1944 to Faye and Betty (Eddy) Detrick in Tonganoxie, Kansas. She was one of five children.

After graduating from Wyandotte High school in 1962 she married James Herbert Fisher Sr. and of that union two children were born. They traveled to Germany while her husband served for the United States Army and finally settled in Las Vegas, NV and raised their small family.

Sharon retired as Head Inspectress of the hospitality dept of Treasure Island Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip in 1995

She will be most remembered for “loving her grandbabies” and was often talking about them and all of their accomplishments. She was a grandma to many in Willow Springs Mo for 20 plus years and then the last few years in Cabool, Mo.

Grandma loved her beautiful grandchildren, always found feeding the neighborhood cats, and opening her arms for a hug. She was silly and sweet and equals love and acceptance or an angel on earth.

Sharon is preceded in death by both parents, her brothers Timothy, Thomas, and Patrick Detrick, Her husband, James Herbert Fisher Sr., and son in law Michael Watts.

Survived are her children: Lisa Dee Watts of Springfield Mo and James Herbert Fisher Jr of Las Vegas. Her three beautiful grandchildren: Shandi Mallonee and husband Ryan of Warsaw, Mo, Joshua Allen Fisher of Cabool, Mo and Jim Thomas(JJ)Fisher of West Plains, Mo.

Great Grandchildren: James and girlfriend Caytlin, Adalia and husband Myran, Sophie, Luke, Eli, Ember, Kai and Nova; great-great grandchildren, Kenyon, Amaya, Oakley, Ivy,and William as well as a host of other family or people who loved her.


A celebration of life is scheduled for June 28th 2026 at Booster Field in Willow Springs Mo at 12 pm. BBQ potluck style celebration of Grandma Fisher’s life and a pink balloon release in her honor. All welcome who knew and loved her. any donations for memorial or flower arrangements please contact Shandi Mallonee. All other donations forward to Josh Fisher.
