Obituary

Stephen D. Graham, 74 of Graff, MO passed away at his home on March 19, 2022. He was born on July 23, 1947 in Bloomington, IL the third of four children born to Harold E. and Mary Lucille (Brady) Graham.

Steve came into this glorious world in the true Brady/Graham tradition, fighting with all his glorious might. It's true he never backed down from a fight; he'd knock you down but he'd pick you up brush you off and have a drink with ya! He never stayed mad at anyone. He never did anything halfway, he loved the thrill of a challenge; racing motorcycles, race cars and boats. He loved camping, hunting, fishing and he also loved riding horses. He had the softest of hearts when it came to children and all animals. H e liked teaching children about life, when he got throat cancer he would wheel himself to the children's wing of the hospital and visit with them everyday until the nurses came looking for him. They always knew where they could find him.

Steve lived in Illinois and worked mainly as a trucker and also as a carpenter until January of 1992 when he moved to Missouri and worked as a boat mechanic at Lake Park Marina and for Raymonds on the Lake. After contracting throat cancer and the removal of his voice box he started farming; raising cattle and horses. He fought a long battle but he did it with no complaints and always with a smile and a great deal of love for life, fun and people.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stevie; a brother, Ronald; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a lot of close friends who were all waiting to welcome him into Gods glorious kingdom of heaven. He is survived by his lifetime companion and love of 31 years, Julie Fillipponi; brother, James H. Graham and wife, Linda of Warsaw, MO; sister, Linda (Graham) Cox of Bloomington, IL; his sons, Brian Graham and wife, Nicole of North Carolina and Greg Graham of Bloomington, IL; daughter, Bobbie Ann Graham of Bloomington, IL; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
