IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Vivian Ailene
Wake
September 7, 1943 – October 5, 2018
Vivian Ailene Wake, 75 of Cabool, MO passed away on October 5, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born on September 7, 1943 in Dayton, OH the daughter of Everett and Maudie (Creech) Stacy.
Ailene is going to be missed by many; when anyone needed anything she would go out of her way to help, no matter what it was. She loved spending time with her family, her kids and grandkids; talking, holding and hugging, you never left her house without an I Love You by her. She could always be found on the front porch swing watching hummingbirds or in the house holding one of the dogs, Rucus, Mikie or Charlie or her cat, Spunky. She loved her animals and they are going to miss her. She enjoyed planting flowers and many varieties, but the moss roses were her favorite. She loved going camping and of course fishing was always part of a good camping trip. Another pastime of hers was yard sales and auctions; she has a very large collection of Indians, which most of it came from the sales. The fun part of the auctions and yard sales was whether you had money or not it was fun to go look at what was there. She not only loved going to yard sales, but she loved having them also, she would often buy at an auction to have a yard sale.
Ailene loved Jesus and reading His Word, she was very active at the Mtn. Grove Full Gospel Church; she played the bass guitar and loved singing specials like "What a Day That Will Be" and "They're Holding Up the Ladder", singing those songs will never be the same, the family will really miss hearing it. She was president of the Women's Auxiliary. Her death leaves us a heartache no one can heal, but her love will leave us memories no one can steal.
Ailene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otha Wake; one brother, Marvin T. Stacy and three sisters, Sandra Rich, Flora L. Wiehe and Correan E. Wake; a son, James Edward Bayless and two grandsons, Kenneth James Bayless and Michael Ray Johnson. She is survived by her children, Debbie and (Danny) Johnson of Cabool, MO, Sherri Bayless of Cabool, MO, Chris and (Stary) Bayless of Theodosia, MO, Melissa and (Jeff) Crites of Cabool, MO and Kenny and (Diane) Bayless of Cabool, MO; her ex-husband, Jim Bayless of Cabool, MO; one sister, Barbara Loughridge of Willow Springs; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
