Wanda Ruth (Brown) Woodmansee of Cabool, passed away December 30, 2015, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 84. She was born at the home of her parents, Tom and Mildred (Smith) Brown on November 5, 1931, outside of Cabool in the Sargent Township.

Wanda attended Cabool schools until her graduation in 1949. She was united in marriage to Coy Woodmansee on January 6, 1955, when they eloped to Mississippi. In the early days of their marriage they lived in Denver, Colorado, and the states of Washington and Georgia, depending on where Coy's career in the United States Air Force took them. When he retired in 1965, it was at her insistence that they return to the Cabool area to be close to family. While Wanda was able to stay at home with her children, she enjoyed gardening, being a true homemaker, and being the hostess for the Brown Family Thanksgiving dinners since the early 1970's. She was a huge St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan. She enjoyed going to ball games, traveling with her family and especially loved to go hear live country music.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Coy, and their two children, Coy, Jr. and Diane, her brother Ellison Brown and sister Laura Church. She is survived by four children; Linda and husband Randy Griffith, Mike Woodmansee, Mark and wife Jamie Woodmansee, and Donna and husband Kevin Bade. Grandchildren; Keaton Bade, Kiley Bade, Holly Woodmansee, Matt and wife Bree Woodmansee, Lisa and husband Travis Lunbeck, Katelyn Griffith, Dustin Griffith and great granddaughter Cailyn Lunbeck. Her sister LaVaughn Hale and brothers George Brown and Roy and wife Loretta Brown as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.
