Obituary:

Aulden "Wayne" Mings, 66 of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at his home.  He was born on March 8, 1948 in Mtn. Grove the son of Calvin D. and Anna M. (Shields) Mings.

Wayne was raised in Mtn. Grove where he attended and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School.  On May 31, 1966 he enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country until receiving his honorable discharge on May 23, 1969.  He was well known in Mtn. Grove for working and managing the Parks Department for the city for several years.

Wayne loved the outdoors; especially hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers.  He spent a lot of time at the softball fields playing and watching.  Wayne's favorite time of the year was Halloween, he took great pleasure in handing out candy "the big candy bars" to the kids.  He also enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Mizzou sports, but most of all he loved spending time with his girls, grandkids and giving his wife a hard time; he also loved his dogs, Bandit and Dino just like they were his kids.  In his free time he made horseshoe crafts and painted birdhouses.

Wayne was preceded death by his parents; two infant brothers and a brother, Carl.  He is survived by his wife, Helen of the home; his daughters, Angie Westfall and husband, Steve, Lacey Coble and husband, Chris, Amanda Weybright and husband, David, Kirastin O'Dell, Shirley Mings and Samantha Mings; his grandchildren, Austin Westfall, Tiffanie Thomas, Tristin Coble, Kaydence Aument, Kennedy Weybright and one on the way; great grandchild, Liam Thomas; his siblings, Dixie, Elaine, Mike, Barbara, Rick and Theresa; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
