William (Bill) James Colvin, 90, of Cabool Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Kabul Nursing Home, surrounded by his family. Bill was born on February 25, 1927 in Mtn. Grove, son of the late Frank and Rosetta (Melton) Colvin. He attend the Gravel Point country school until the 8 th grade.
On July 15, 1950 in Hardy, Arkansas Bill was united in marriage to Janey Lucille Hines. They made their home in Cabool and were blessed with over 66 years of marriage.
Bill worked at a bakery in Mtn. Grove, then went to work at the Mtn. Grove Shoe Factory, then drove trucks for Sunny Hill Poultry, Mid-Am, Matherly Concrete and Worrell Transport until his retirement at the age of 72. He also had "The Trim Shop" from 1992-2009.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Paul, Ollie and Arch Virtue; two sisters, Jo and Alberta Johnson; one niece, Charlotte; two nephews, Russell and Dewayne and one great-grandson, Noah. Survivors include wife Lucille of the home, four daughters, Suzie (Sam) Berry, Cabool, Teresa (Dennis) Freeman, Mtn. Grove, Tammy (Tim) Weston, Republic and Tina (Roy) Boykin, Cabool, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
