Wilma Jean (Dobbs) Hancock, 75 of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away on November 4, 2017 at the Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO. She was born on June 6, 1942 at Rayborn, MO the daughter of Albert and Mary (Carder) Dobbs.
Wilma was united in marriage to Virigal Hancock in Carnagie, OK. She was in the restaurant business most of her adult life; she loved to cook, especially for her family and was very good at it. She continued to live in Carnagie for several years after her husband passed away until moving back to Mtn. Grove to be with her family. She then went to work for a home health company and worked there until April 2017.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Albert Lee Dobbs; 3 sisters, Lavern Prock, Esther Champ and Lois Davis; 2 brothers-in-law, Richard Champ and Sam Davis; a sister-in-law, Betty Dobbs; 2 nephews, Mike Champ and John Barnes and 1 niece, Mary Turner. She is survived by a brother, Bennie Dobbs of Cabool, MO; a sister, Patsy Barnes Lakey and husband, Gary of Cabool, MO; 4 nephews, Dave Champ (Patty), Darren Dobbs (Jane), Shawn Conner (Mary) and Joe Barnes (Sandy); 2 niece-in-laws, Patricia Champ and Tammy Barnes (Tommy McConnell); as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
